At HP, we are focused on creating a better future for everyone through our actions and innovations. We call this vision HP Living Progress, and it reflects the way our people and technology come together to solve society’s toughest challenges.
The HP Company Foundation is proud of its long association with The American Red Cross in support of disaster relief efforts around the world – in particular as a member of the Disaster Responder program.
When disaster strikes we respond quickly. The HP Company Foundation has responded to numerous major disasters over the years including Typhoon Haiyan, the Japan tsunami, and earthquakes, floods and wildfire around the world – contributing almost $8 million in funding through the American Red Cross and other international relief agencies since 2004.
Along with financial support we contribute our services and skills. HP employees often volunteer on the ground, lending our considerable communications and information technology expertise to restore infrastructure vital to managing massive international responses in times of crisis.
We support our employees' efforts to make a positive impact in their communities by giving them 4 paid hours each month to put their skills into action. In 2014, HP employees worldwide volunteered more than 1.6 million hours in their communities. The time they spent giving back is valued at more than $94.4 million USD.
On the ground and behind the scenes we rise to the enormous challenges that follow disasters with our expertise, global reach, committed people and technology. We help communities make huge strides towards recovery.
