Donation Inquiries from Hurricane Season 2005 Contributors

As a result of the tremendous outpouring of public support for the victims of Hurricane Katrina and other storms during the 2005 Hurricane Season, some donors may not yet have receive their tax acknowledgement from the American Red Cross.

IRS rules require donors to have a tax receipt for charitable gifts of $250 and above. To accommodate this effort, and address other issues connected to your donation, the Red Cross has established a call center to address and resolve these issues.

The call center will handle donation inquiries and requests for tax receipt acknowledgement, donation refunds due to overcharges, "In Honor of" or "In Memory Of" donations, and donor information updates.

You may call the Donor Relations Call Center at (202) 303-4897 between the hours of 8:45 am to 4:45 pm (EST) Monday through Friday.

Or, you also may send your inquiry or request by email to donorsupport@usa.redcross.org.
