First -- Do a background check by visiting www.mybackgroundcheck.com and clicking on the link for the American Red Cross background check initiative. Select the state (Florida) and then select "Polk County Chapter." Click the link on the bottom of the page to get started and follow the instructions.

Second -- Visit the Instructors Corner (https://www.instructorscorner.org/RedCross/Index.aspx) at the American Red Cross web site -- www.redcross.org.
     The page contains links to frequently asked questions, Red Cross news items and will help you purchase books and materials.

Third -- Sign in at the Instructors Corner. Once you are registered with the American Red Cross as a certified instructor, you can receive updates, news items and other information designed to help make you the best instructor you can be for Health & Safety and Emergency Preparedness.
