Holiday Mail for Heroes
The 2009 Holiday Mail for Heroes P.O. Box is closed.
Thanks to everyone who took time out of their busy schedule to send a holiday greeting card to the men and women who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces around the world.
The next phase of the Holiday Mail Campaign is underway. Across the country and at military installations overseas, American Red Cross personnel are starting to receive the holiday cards. They will sort and deliver the holiday cards to deserving service members, veterans, and their families.
If you would like to assist with the holiday card sorting and delivery; please contact your local Red Cross chapter.
In this season of hope, even if you missed a chance to send a card you can still support our military families. By selecting a gift from the 2009 Gifts that Save the Day Catalog you can continue to support the Red Cross mission. Catalog gifts include:
- Training classes that help families cope with the difficulties of deployments.
- Comfort kits for wounded warriors
- Phone cards
- Emergency communication services for service members and their families
Take a look at what people are saying about the program:
Gifts cost as little as $20 but can make a big difference in the lives of service members and their families.
If you would like to play a greater role in the Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces mission; contact you local Red Cross chapter at www.redcross.org.
Many thanks to our corporate partner, Pitney Bowes, who provided the hazardous materials screening and shipping for all of the cards.

"The program has already generated a tremendous response in our community and this is our first year participating. Everyone who hears about Holiday Mail wants to be involved because it gives us all the chance to seek out service men and women and veterans and tell them just how special they are and how much we appreciate their service and sacrifice."
Welcome to this year’s Holiday Mail for Heroes celebrity spokesperson - pop singer and songwriter Amy Grant!

“I am honored and thrilled to be part of this program. The service that our military men and women provide this country year-round is invaluable and I feel it especially important to give thanks for their sacrifices during the holiday season.”
