The American Red Cross Armed Forces Emergency Services helps military families stay
in touch with active duty military personnel. Whether the military man or woman is
in the states or overseas, whenever there is a family problem, the Red Cross can help
The Red Cross operates a worldwide communications network providing emergency
message services anytime day or night. Whether it is a death in the family or serious
illness, or other family emergency, a call to the Red Cross will provide immediate
assistance.

Emergency Financial Assistance
Emergency Communications
The Red Cross works with military aid societies in providing financial assistance when
an urgent financial crisis arises. Financial assistance may be available for burial of a
family member, or other family emergencies.

Veterans Benefits
You may receive assistance from the Red Cross as a veteran or veteran's family for
such things as the burial of a veteran, health needs, or other benefits to which the veteran
may be entitled.
