Thank you for taking the time to honor a local hero with your nomination for the next upcoming Real Heroes Breakfast. Please take a few moments to fill out the form below for your nomination, or if you would prefer to mail in your nomination, please.

Nominations for the Real Heroes Breakfast Event in the current calendar year close on December 31st of the previous calendar year. We are accepting nominations of heroic acts that happen in the current calendar year for our next year’s Real Heroes Breakfast Event throughout the year. Please be informed that we will process these nominations early in the next calendar year. 


Each year our Real Heroes Breakfast allows us to honor local heroes who have performed extraordinary feats of courage and who are honored in the following award categories:

Adult Good Samaritan: Presented to an ordinary citizen who used life-saving skills to save the life of another (age 18 and older).

Youth Good Samaritan: Presented to an ordinary citizen who used life-saving skills to save the life of another (age 18 and under).

Animal Rescue: Presented to the family of a pet who was instrumental in saving a life, or an ordinary citizen who was instrumental in saving an animal’s life.

Aviation: Presented to an airline, an airline representative, or an ordinary citizen who used life-saving skills to save the life of another, or who made significant improvements to airline safety.

Fire Rescue: Presented to a firefighter, volunteer or paid, whose life-saving actions exemplify the very highest standards of their calling.

Law Enforcement:  Presented to a law enforcement officer whose life-saving action exemplifies the very highest standards of their calling.

Military: Presented to a member of the Armed Forces (active or retired, commissioned or noncommissioned) whose life-saving actions exemplify the very highest standards of their calling.

Medical: Presented to a medical professional, an organization, or an ordinary citizen whose life-saving action exemplifies the very highest standards of their calling.

Marine: Presented to an ordinary citizen or professional rescuer involved in rescuing a person from a life-threatening situation in a marine setting.

Wilderness Rescue: Presented to an ordinary citizen or professional rescuer, who used life-saving skills to save the life of another out of the wilderness.

Workplace Safety: Presented to a business owner, manager or employee whose preparedness or life-saving action exemplifies the very highest standards of their calling
