Everyday an Arkansan interacts with caring and dedicated American Red Cross volunteers. Sometimes the interaction is expected at a community safety fair booth. Too often it’s not expected, after a disaster such as a residential fire or storm. No matter the cause, the Red Cross volunteer is a c sight.
As a volunteer, you can have a variety of options to serve. Volunteers are at company and community events with needed information to keep you prepared and ready to stay safe and sound. They are at a neighbor’s home with a blanket, emergency disaster relief and a comforting hug with reassuring words and direction. They can provide administrative support from data entry, financial services and support for volunteers in the field.
Talk to one of the hundreds of Arkansans trained to make a real difference for neighbors in need of disaster relief from small communities to cities across the state after an unexpected house fire or weather system leaves them stunned and vulnerable. Your presence as a Red Cross volunteer provides comfort and a sense of certainty.
As a volunteer-led organization, the Red Cross aspires to provide a meaningful participation for each volunteer to be actively engaged with individualized training plans related to your area or areas of interest.
The American Red Cross In Arkansas is committed to diversity and inclusiveness and works to ensure the mix of employees, volunteers, and vendors is representative of the diversity of the people residing in each local community.
Youth volunteers also have a part to play with Red Cross as they become involved as they develop into leaders of tomorrow.
