Team Firestopper

Team Firestopper Overview

The American Red Cross Central Valley Region responded to 368 local disasters in 2013, 96% of which were residential fires. That is an average of 1 local disaster every 14 hours. Such disasters can entail the loss of irreplaceable belongings, entire homes, and even family members.

In February 2012, the American Red Cross Central Valley Region developed, Team Firestopper, a fire prevention and mitigation program aimed at reducing the number and impact of fire incidents in the most fire-affected communities.
