Event Participation Request Form

The American Red Cross strives to build strong and sustainable relationships with diverse communities in Los Angeles County to help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. In our efforts to promote preparedness in local communities, listed below are available services for event participation and on-site trainings/ presentations.

To effectively staff events and support American Red Cross preparedness and outreach efforts, events received with less than 30 days’ notice cannot be honored, unless otherwise stated. We appreciate your understanding in ensuring that we plan for the best staffing and service for your event. Thank you.

Please Note: For the safety of American Red Cross personnel, Preparedness Services must be conducted in secure public venues and may not be conducted on sidewalks, in front of private property, or in store parking lots. Thank you for your cooperation.

To make a request for the following services please submit request online by clicking the buttons below.

General Red Cross Info booth – Trained Red Cross Volunteers provide preparedness and safety literature, including PrepareSoCal materials, and education on Red Cross programs, services and volunteering! Events typically include booths at community fairs. Table and chairs must be provided by the event host. A minimum of 100 event attendees required.

Preparedness Presentations – Trained Red Cross Subject Matter Experts present basic preparedness information. Presentations are approximately 45 minutes and the audience is expected to remain present throughout. Presentations are organized sponsored events (i.e “lunch n’ learn). Available presentations include: PrepareU, PrepareTEENS, PrepareBiz. A minimum of 20 individuals and available seating are required for each audience member.

PrepareKIDS Puppet Show – Red Cross Youth Volunteers perform a live puppet show for elementary aged children. Puppet shows are approximately 30 minutes and the audience is expected to remain seated throughout the entire show. Locations typically include libraries and elementary schools. Alternate locations may be approved at the discretion of the Community and Volunteer Engagement Youth and Young Adults team. A minimum of 20 children and an available electricity outlet and a 10x10 foot space are required.
