Are you a U.S. Veteran? Share your story with the Red Cross and help contribute to a national project to share and preserve the living history of our veterans.
The Mile High Region of the American Red Cross is assisting the Library of Congress with the Veterans History Project of the American Folklife Center. The Project’s mission is to collect, preserve, and make accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war.
As directed by the U.S. Congress in 2000, veterans from all eras are encouraged to record their military experiences through the Veterans History Project.
The Red Cross is seeking military veterans to share their personal accounts to be recorded for posterity as part of this project. Volunteers are also needed to conduct and record the interviews.
In order to have your story recorded, or if you would like to volunteer for this project, please contact the American Red Cross at (303) 607-4785.
