The purpose of this workshop is to provide participants with the skills needed to be self-reliant for an extended period of time, and increase the capacity of their community to survive disasters by participating in preparedness, response and recovery activities.

A Red Cross Business and Organizational Preparedness Expert will meet one-on-one with your business, non-profit, school or organization to provide a 30-minute overview of the Red Cross Ready Rating program and how its 1-2-3 assessment can help your organization become more resilient in the face of a variety of emergencies. The presentation is followed by a Q&A session to help determine whether your organization should join the Ready Rating Program.
This 30-minute presentation is perfect for businesses and organizations that want to get their employees or members involved in preparedness but may not yet have time for an in-depth training. The Lunch ‘N’ Learn is designed to give your staff an overview of some key essentials for being prepared at home and the office.
Request a Red Cross Preparedness Expert to observe and evaluate your business, school or organization’s emergency plans in action. When you are conducting an exercise or drill that to test your emergency plans, a Red Cross expert can be there to observe and help you evaluate the results.
The American Red Cross Pillowcase Project, funded by Disney, is an emergency preparedness education program geared towards youth ages 8-11. Students learn protective actions, coping skills and how to engage grown-ups in conversations about staying safe in emergencies. We are very excited to be a pilot region for this program and are pleased to offer this one-hour training for schools, after-school programs and community groups. Minimum number of participants is 20.
As a volunteer-led organization, our primary focus is on responding to disasters and emergencies and providing direct training in preparedness skills through courses and workshops.
