Disaster Training Academies

  • Denver - Disaster Training Academies

The Red Cross offers Disaster Training Academies in various communities within the Colorado & Wyoming Region. These academies provide a set of Red Cross volunteer trainings in a consolidated time-frame – usually one weekend – in order to:
  • Onboard new disaster volunteers with all the basic training they need to get started as a disaster volunteer.
  • Provide a track of higher-level trainings and exercises for more experienced Red Cross volunteers.
Pre-requisites: All attendees of the Disaster Academies should have completed an initial Red Cross volunteer application and onboarding prior to attending. However, some academies may offer an on-site application and registration process; please check with the Academy coordinator listed below.
2014-2015 Schedule of Academies
If you are interested in attending an academy or learning more about course offerings, please contact the coordinator listed below. If the academy is outside of your chapter area, please contact your volunteer supervisor first to determine whether the Academy can accommodate traveling staff.
