Special Events

Each year the American Red Cross in Southeastern Pennsylvania conducts a number of signature events throughout the Philadelphia region that would not be possible without the generous support of our community sponsors. These events enable us to deliver help and hope to those affected by disaster in our local community. Your organization can help too by sponsoring one or more of our signature events.

Spectrum Awards Breakfast

Recognizing the important role women play in global commerce and humanitarian initiatives, the annual Spectrum Awards highlights the incredible leadership that women bring to our community. The 2012 Spectrum Awards will be held on November 1, 2012 at the Hyatt at the Bellevue and will recognize and celebrate the achievements of four women who have distinguished themselves as corporate and community leaders making outstanding contributions to help improve the quality of life in our community. By supporting the Spectrum Awards, you help to ensure that women will continue to provide strong visionary leadership to our community. To learn more about sponsorship opportunities for this event:

Red Cross Cup

Each June, since 2002, golf enthusiasts of the Greater Philadelphia Region join forces with the American Red Cross to produce a first-class golf event that serves as a kick-off to the summer golf season. Hosted by local premier country clubs, this annual tournament builds on the American Red Cross Cup's reputation as a premiere golf event while raising the necessary funds for disaster relief in Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Red Cross Walk and Run

The Red Cross Walk and Run to Save Lives is the Red Cross’ biggest fundraiser, where people in our community join together to honor the thousands of heroes who, trained by the Red Cross, stand ready to help save your life. Set around historic and scenic Memorial Hall, the event is “pet-friendly” and the 5K is on a USATF certified course. Sponsoring this event gives hope to your friends and neighbors who will encounter an unexpected emergency this year.

Citizen of the Year Breakfast

For the past 30 years the annual Citizen of the Year Breakfast has celebrated an individual and organization’s commitment to our region’s civic and charitable initiatives. Right here in Philadelphia, the American Red Cross touches the lives of two out of three people every day with life-saving services. It is only fitting to honor a Philadelphia citizen who has made a significant impact on the welfare of the Greater Philadelphia region.
