The American Red Cross, Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter is not a government agency. Our programs and services are made possible primarily through the generous support of individuals, businesses, organizations, and foundations. We depend on the people and corporate citizens of metro Atlanta to make the financial commitment necessary to ensure a healthier, safer community for everyone. To that end, we strive to create partnerships with companies that reflect our brand values and strength to foster genuine and mutually beneficial alliances.
HERE ARE JUST A FEW WAYS THAT A RED CROSS PARTNERSHIP CAN BENEFIT YOUR COMPANY:
Align with the Red Cross Brand – Your company will receive a positive association aligning with America’s favorite and most trusted charity.
Market Differentiation – In a crowded marketplace, Red Cross tie-ins can help your company distinguish itself from competitors by offering consumers the opportunity to contribute to something meaningful.
Plan and Train for Emergencies – Protect your employees with Red Cross first aid, CPR and AED training.
Engage Your Employees – Provide your workforce with opportunities to participate in Red Cross volunteer and educational programs.
Create Loyalty - A Cone Roper study indicates that 87% of employees at companies with a cause-marketing program indicate a strong sense of loyalty to their employer.
For three decades, UPS has helped the Red Cross prepare for and respond to disasters down the street, across the country and around the world. Headquartered in Atlanta, the company is a proud member of the Annual Disaster Giving Program, the signature corporate membership program of the American Red Cross. In 2010 alone, UPS and its employees contributed more than $1 million to the Red Cross and helped speed the delivery of critically needed supplies.
UPS employees give generously of their time throughout the country. During the Georgia Tornadoes in 2011, UPS activated its new Logistics Action Team (LAT) volunteers in metro Atlanta to help the Red Cross pick up donated supplies and deliver them to affected communities. In 2012, LAT volunteers worked side-by-side with Red Cross volunteers to load 10 truckloads of Hurricane Isaac relief supplies at our Union City warehouse. Richard Peretz, Vice President of Finance and Accounting, volunteers his time on the Atlanta Red Cross Chapter board of directors. UPS employees also support Red Cross blood drives at their Atlanta headquarters and in offices throughout the country.
