Thank you for your interest in raising funds to support the America Red Cross, Metro Atlanta Chapter. Financial donations are the most efficient way for our organization to meet the emergency needs of individuals and families who have lost their homes to fires and other disasters. (Please note that the Red Cross is unable to accept non-monetary donations such as food and clothing because of storage and transportation requirements. The cost to sort, package and distribute these types of donations to disaster victims is almost always greater than the cost of purchasing the items locally. We recommend that you donate these items to organizations that are equipped to put them to the best possible local use. Offers of sizeable, bulk donations, however, will be reviewed by the Red Cross to determine if they meet a current need for disaster clients. The American Red Cross has restrictions and requirements regarding the use of our logo and does not participate in door-to-door fundraising of any kind. In order to be officially recognized as a community fundraising event by the American Red Cross, you must receive written authorization to do so in the form of a fundraising agreement signed by a Red Cross representative. Please note that due to National Red Cross policy, we are not authorized to provide official Red Cross donation canisters.
