Fundraise for Disaster

  • image

Thank you for your interest in raising funds to support the America Red Cross, Metro Atlanta Chapter. Financial donations are the most efficient way for our organization to meet the emergency needs of individuals and families who have lost their homes to fires and other disasters. For more information on how the Red Cross may use financial donations to help disaster victims click here.

(Please note that the Red Cross is unable to accept non-monetary donations such as food and clothing because of storage and transportation requirements. The cost to sort, package and distribute these types of donations to disaster victims is almost always greater than the cost of purchasing the items locally. We recommend that you donate these items to organizations that are equipped to put them to the best possible local use. Offers of sizeable, bulk donations, however, will be reviewed by the Red Cross to determine if they meet a current need for disaster clients. Bulk donations are typically new, shrink-wrapped and palletized items, and must be transported by the donor. For more information on in-kind donations, click on Donate Goods or Services.
