Who We Are:
The American Red Cross of Central and Southern Illinois Region is comprised of three chapters including American Red Cross Serving Central Illinois, American Red Cross Serving the Quad Cities and West Central Illinois and the American Red Cross Serving South Central Illinois. The Central and Southern Illinois Region provides vital services including disaster relief, health and safety classes, blood collection and services to the Armed Forces to almost 3 million people in a 78 county area.

What We Do:
The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies about 40 percent of the nation's blood; teaches skills that save lives; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a not-for-profit organization that depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission.

Our Region:
In the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2016, the American Red Cross Central and Southern Illinois Region:
  • Responded to 1,368 local disaster, most of which were home fires
  • Reached more than 12,000 youth and adults with preparedness training
  • Provided services to more than 1,000 military members and their families
  • Taught more than 26,000 people lifesaving skills such as CPR, AED and First Aid training
  • Installed more than 5,000 free smoke alarms as part of the Home Fire Campaign
  • Engaged 1,759 volunteers, who donated and incredible 76,012 hours of service to help others
