The 7th Annual Disaster Preparedness Summit was held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM at The University of Chicago’s Gleacher Center. Leadership from business, government and non-profit organizations spent a day exchanging lessons learned so that our community can be better prepared when a disaster strikes.
For this year’s event, we looked at risk assessment practices through the lenses of cyber and workplace security, focusing on the tactical, operational and strategic actions our organizations and leaders take every day.
Photos from the event are available here.
The 2017 Disaster Preparedness Summit will be held in August, date/location TBD. The theme will be public health and bio-terrorism. If you’re interested in sponsorship information, please contact Marty Makowski at Marty.Makowski@redcross.org.
