Augusto Beltran began volunteering with the American Red Cross of the Chesapeake Region the first week of February 6, 2013. He didn’t speak English.
Fourteen months later, he continues to take English courses in the mornings and volunteers almost every day for at least 3-4 hours in Logistics, Warehousing & Transportation. He has helped with large projects like setting-up the warehouse floor plan to make room to share space with the new barcoding scanning company and putting logos on four new shelter trailers. He is also a Disaster Responder and has helped with local fires. So far he has volunteered more than 484 hours and is always happy and willing to assist to learn new things.
