Vera Camillo has been a volunteer with the American Red Cross for approximately one year. During that time she has volunteered nearly 800 hours! Initially, she and her husband, Bill, helped fill an urgent need for Worcester County Disaster Action Team (DAT) volunteers. After getting to know the organization, Vera started looking for more projects. In April 2015, she took on an administrative role with the Volunteer Services Department, managing logged hours for the entire Delmarva Chapter. She also works as administrative support in the Salisbury office as needed. She expanded her support again in May 2015, training as a Biomedical Services Ambassador and volunteered at her first Blood Drive.
No matter what the need, Vera is quick to fulfill it. A reporting problem was discovered with some year-end reports and at the eleventh hour Vera jumped in to help. She tackled more than three hundred entries in one day to make sure everything was corrected. Vera is an asset to the Delmarva Chapter and the Greater Chesapeake Region as a whole. We thank her for her continued dedication, passion, and support!
