Thank you for your interest in serving your neighbors. The American Red Cross relies on volunteers to help us with our mission of relieving human suffering by preventing, preparing for and responding to emergencies.

The American Red Cross, Kansas/Nebraska Region processes all volunteer applications and conducts volunteer training throughout Kansas, Nebraska and southwest Iowa.


    Red Cross Volunteers

  • Teach classes like CPR/First Aid, Babysitting and Learn to Swim
  • Facilitate emergency communications between military personnel and their families.

  • Provide community-based services for families in need such as our Meals on Wheels or Energy Assistance program

  • Lend professional expertise in fund raising, public relations, administration, human resources, information technology and other fields

  • Fill leadership roles at the Chapter, including serving on advisory committees and the Board of Directors
  • Help with local blood drives
  • Provide food, shelter, clothing, comfort and care to people affected by disasters
