In Warren, Washington, Saratoga, Hamilton and Southern Essex Counties:

In Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, Fulton, Montgomery, Schoharie, Columbia and Greene Counties:

In Ulster and Dutchess Counties:

When a disaster happens, your local Red Cross can provide aid such as:
  • Temporary shelter
  • Basic hygiene items
  • Financial aid for food, clothing, replacement medications and medical supplies, infant supplies, and other necessary items
  • Financial aid for heating assistance*
  • Crisis counseling
  • Assistance with funeral costs
  • Referrals to community agencies for long-term aid
  • *Not available in all areas. Please call your local Red Cross chapter for information.

    If you are in need of immediate medical assistance or are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911.

    If you have been separated from a U.S. citizen traveling or residing abroad, please contact the Emergency Services unit of the U.S. Department of State at 1-888-407-4747 for immediate assistance.

    If you have needs not addressed above, dial 211*. Sponsored by the United Way, 211 is a special phone number that can connect you with those agencies and organizations that can assist you. Please note: 211 is not for life-threatening emergencies. It is a service providing referrals to local services.
