- During large-scale disaster relief operations, however, the Greater New York Red Cross may sometimes accept bulk donations of products or medical supplies from corporations. Typically, these would be large donations of a single product provided a companies that manufacture or distributes that product and has the resources to ship directly to a disaster site.
- You can support the humanitarian work of the American Red Cross Greater New York Region through an employer’s matching gift, program, which can double, or even triple your contribution. Find out now if your company has such a program—visit the Red Cross’s online directory of employers that match employee gifts here. Every dollar helps the Red Cross provide vital lifesaving services and resources.
- If it has not already, encourage your company to designate the Greater New York Red Cross as a nonprofit agency approved to receive donations from your employee giving campaign.
- An increasing number of companies now make contributions in support of volunteerism when their employees volunteer a specified number of hours with an approved nonprofit organization. Contact your Personnel/Human Resources Department for details.
