The NMI Chapter is ready to serve the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our commitment is to respond to emergency calls within 2 hours of notification. Whether it be a big typhoon, a fire, or flooding our disaster services team will be on the scene providing emergency services to people in need.
The Chapter maintains a 365 day a year Disaster Action Team (DAT). These trained individuals are the Chapters "first responders" during time of need. They can assess damage, provide immediate assistance with food, clothing and shelter. They can also assist by providing contact with Red Cross trained mental health specialists and other community based social services agencies.
The NMI Chapter is dedicated to the people of the Northern Mariana Islands. We are concerned with everyones safety during disaster and have extensive courses and training in preparedness and mitigation. If you would like to be a member of our Red Cross Disaster Team, please fill out our online volunteer application or contact the Chapter at 234-3459 to sign up for our next class.
