The Metro New York North Chapter of the Greater New York Region serves the residents of Westchester, Orange, Rockland, Putnam and Sullivan counties, and Greenwich, Conn. During Young’s five year tenure as CEO, the Red Cross has responded to myriad home fires in Metro New York North as well as two major disasters—Tropical Storm Irene and Superstorm Sandy. Young joined the Red Cross in March 2011, subsequent to serving as vice president for Institutional Advancement at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn.
