General Adult Volunteers

At the American Red Cross – Dayton Area Chapter, volunteers are invaluable to the daily operation of the American Red Cross and are truly the heart and soul of the organization! Becoming a Red Cross volunteer is as easy as 1-2-3!
  • Provide help to disaster victims
  • Provide Community Disaster Education and First Aid, CPR, swimming, babysitter preparedness and other classes.
  • Translate for non-English speakers so that they can receive Red Cross services.
  • Work as nurses offering expertise, care and compassion.
  • Facilitate emergency communications between military personnel and their families.
  • Provide community-based services for families who are homeless.
  • Organize and participate in Red Cross Youth Clubs.
  • Donate professional experience in accounting, fund raising, public relations, administration, human resources, and information technology.
  • Fill leadership roles at the Chapter, including serving on advisory committees and the Board of Directors.
