AmeriCorps Members are an important part of the community outreach that is the core of the Red Cross mission. Serve alongside staff and volunteers as integrated members of Red Cross programs, learning and using professional business skills in diverse environments.
This new program provides an opportunity for young professionals interested in learning more about Red Cross programs and services to develop future leadership skills and experience. This is achieved from the ground-up in designing and completing one major fundraising event annually and promoting the Red Cross mission among other young professionals.

That’s why we provide safe, reliable and timely transportation for seniors, and others in Franklin County, to medical and other life-enhancing appointments through our Community Transportation Program.
The Red Cross can visit schools, workplaces, or community centers to provide vital disaster education programming. Topics include fire safety, natural disaster preparedness, preparing for a pandemic flu and more! Bilingual speakers are available and thanks to the generosity of donors, all community disaster education programming is free of charge.
Since 1979, the American Red Cross has been providing first aid services at public festivals, sporting events and concerts across the area! Our team of trained volunteers is the emergency first aid front line for almost 2 million guests who attend or participate in these events.
