First Aid Services Team

FAST logo

Since 1979, the American Red Cross has been providing first aid services at public festivals, sporting events and concerts across the area! Our team supports the many events at Ohio Stadium, the Jerome Schottenstein Center, Bill Davis Stadium and St. John Arena. In addition to those venues, we support the Columbus Arts, Asian, and Pride Festivals, as well as the Nationwide Columbus Marathon, Cap City Half Marathon, and many other area events. Our team of trained volunteers is the emergency first aid front line for almost 2 million guests who attend or participate in these events.

When we get the opportunity to work with American Red Cross’s First Aid Services Team, we are confident that a top-quality service is going to be provided to our fans.

Event Planners

If you are planning an event and you want the peace of mind that your guests will be safe, let our trained and experience staff assist and advise you with your needs!

FAST volunteers come equipped with emergency Oxygen, AED's, first aid kits, cots, blankets, radios, and an ice chest. Our team of volunteers are certified at a minimum with ‘Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED and First Aid’. Many of our volunteers hold professionals licenses (EMT, RN, etc.) or advanced first responder training through the American Red Cross.

According to the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, BLS responses account for 75%-90% of most EMS calls. The same holds true for special event gatherings. Therefore, most medical issues at special events can be cared for by Red Cross first aid responders at a much smaller cost. These volunteers can conduct first aid or Basic Life Support (BLS) until the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) professionals arrive.

Our partnership with American Red Cross FAST has proven to be one of the most beneficial services we can count on when it comes to the safety of our guests.
