Rachel has shaped a career of service at local and regional nonprofits in many program, fundraising, executive and leadership levels. Her resume includes over 15 years of executive planning, management, direct fundraising, board development, strategy and nonprofit development including major gifts, direct marketing, capital campaigns and annual giving. In 2015 she was received multiple awards recognizing her dynamic leadership and community service including: Akron Chamber’s 30 for the Future Award recognizing young professionals in the Greater Akron Region, who are trendsetters in their industries, and who make an impact on the region through dynamic leadership and community service; Crane’s 40 Under 40 Award, honoring individuals for their professional success and civic contributions; and Leadership Akron’s New Community Leaders recognition. Prior to her career at the American Red Cross she held the position of Director of Development at the Community Heal th Center in Akron. She also served as Development Manager of Goodwill Industries, Annual Campaign Director of the Akron Area YMCA and Director of Special Events and Community Director for the March of Dimes. As a graduate of the University of Akron, she has become deeply engaged in the community generating countless dollars to further strengthen the community in which we live.
