Every 3.9 hours, the American Red Cross in South Carolina extends a helping hand to a family in need that has lost everything – the roof over their heads, their clothes, and their most cherished possessions – to a home fire.
In the past 18 months alone, the Red Cross has helped people affected by historic flooding, Hurricane Matthew, tornadoes, and multiple apartment fires, as well as thousands of single family home fires. In fiscal year 2016, the volunteers and staff of the Palmetto SC Region of the Red Cross responded to more than 2,100 local emergencies, provided 9,000 case services including reporting and communication services for more than 3,400 military families, and trained more than 50,000 people in lifesaving skills. And, distributed more than 137,000 units of blood to local hospitals.
With your continued support, we will always be there, providing the emergency services that our neighbors depend on each and every day.
If we each #help1family, think of what we could do together!
