Holiday Mail for Heroes offers corporations and community entities (church/temple groups, schools, community centers, etc.) the opportunity to provide blank holiday cards with a stamp on each envelope to give to members of the Armed Services that are wounded, ill or injured staying at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital or Veterans being served by the VA. Each service member will receive one bundle of three cards to send to their loved ones on special holidays. i.e. Mother’s Day, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza.

We offer the opportunity for the organization to include a printed insert for each bundle with a personalized message similar to “Happy Holidays from ORGANZATION (with your logo)” to be wrapped with a ribbon. We ask that all three cards in a bundle be for the same holiday, whether it is for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza or Mother’s Day. For example, 51 cards would provide 17 service members with blanks cards to send to their loved ones.

This unique program has been updated in direct response from service members who during their stay at Walter Reed and Fort Belvoir are unable to purchase holiday cards to send to their families across the county. Please join us in supporting our Heroes and their families over the holiday season.

Items to include in each bundle:

  • 3 blank holiday cards (same holiday per bundle)
  • 3 blank envelopes with postage stamps
  • 1 personalized message to the service member
  • Bundled with ribbon
Please drop off or send completed bundles to:
