By volunteering with the American Red Cross, you’ll join a worldwide movement dedicated to alleviating human suffering in the face of emergencies. Whether you’re in career transition, a student looking for experience, work full-time, are retired, or have a few extra hours, you too can make a difference and save lives.
Blood Donor Ambassador: Engage blood donors by greeting, registering, answering questions, providing information, and supporting them through the recovery process at the refreshments table.
Blood Transportation Specialist (Huntington WV and surrounding areas only): Deliver life-saving blood donations to local hospitals, assist our blood collections teams with supplies, and return blood products from various locations in the region, directly helping patients in need.
Travel Disaster Responder: Prepare and respond to disaster-impacted areas both nationally or locally to assist clients with immediate needs and recovery. Disasters can include hurricanes, tropical storms, tornadoes, flooding, wildfires, home fires, and more.
Disaster Action Team: Be a part of the team that responds to those affected by disasters such as home fires.
Disaster Health Services: Use your licensed healthcare professional skills to meet the healthcare related needs of those impacted by disasters. *Note: Qualified licenses include RN, LPN, LVN, EMT, Paramedic, MD, DO, PA, NP, and APRN
