Home Fire Preparedness Campaign

The campaign involves door-to-door neighborhood canvassing providing local residents with fire safety information, tools, and guidance to make fire escape plans and installation of smoke alarms. Neighborhoods are selected based on historical fire injury and deaths data. We are targeting the top 20 zip codes in the state first.

Workplace Training Class

Be Red Cross Ready

Join us for this up to one-hour overview and learn how to prepare yourself, your household and your community to be ready for and resilient during disasters. This is a basic, entry-level overview of individual, household and community preparedness. This workshop can be scheduled for groups of 10 or more. Email chwipreparedness@redcross.org.

Denver Pillowcase Project

Pillowcase Project

The American Red Cross Pillowcase Project, funded by the Walt Disney Company, is an emergency preparedness education program geared towards youth ages 8-11. Students learn protective actions, coping skills and how to engage grown-ups in conversations about staying safe in emergencies. This one hour training is perfect for schools, after-school programs and community groups.
