• AED Certification in Silver Spring

An AED is an automated external defibrillator. It a portable device that not only checks the heart's rhythm, but can analyze it and send the appropriate type of electric shock to the heart in an attempt to restore a normal rhythm. AEDs are used to help treat someone suffering from a sudden cardiac arrest. They're commonly found at government buildings, shopping centers, airports and other places of business.

We understand how important AED training is, and that's why we deliver AED classes in Silver Spring in several ways, including in-person, online, and via our blended Simulation Learning experience, which combines online coursework with in-person skills sessions.

AED courses delivered in a traditional classroom setting, with lecture and hands-on skills training, allow you to become familiar with the technology, ask questions, and learn in a supportive environment.

With our online-only courses, you can learn how and when to use an automated external defibrillator – and help provide critical care during times of need. Our online-only classes deliver the same information as our in-person and blended learning courses, but in lieu of a hands-on skills session, you'll perform a range of online activities that will help you gain a deeper understanding of the material.

Note: Online-only AED courses may not satisfy your workplace requirement for certification. Please check with your employer and choose the right course for your needs.

AED certifications are valid for two years, and in order to help you maintain your credentials, and learn the latest information and techniques, we offer a number of Silver Spring AED training classes designed specifically for those whose certifications are about to expire, or are within 30 days of expiring. These courses are abbreviated and result in full certification that's valid for two more years.
