Celebrating Women’s History Month
Generations of Red Cross Women
Moving History Forward

From its founding in 1881 to today, the American Red Cross provided many women with an opportunity to prove how vital their contributions to a war and peace-time nation were. By taking advantage of these opportunities, Red Cross women were able to redefine themselves, advance a humanitarian cause, and move history forward.
