Sarah Barris

Sarah Barris

Columbia College | Missouri-Illinois Blood Services Region

Sarah is double majoring in Political Science and Criminal Justice as well as minoring in Legal Studies at Columbia College in Columbia, Illinois. She is a member of the women’s golf team and the mock trial team, the Executive Vice President of the Student Government Association, and a Columbia College Student Ambassador. With a passion for promoting justice and making a positive impact on the world, she plans to attend law school after graduation. Sarah is looking forward to helping with blood drives on her college campus.

Sonja Bilden

Sonja Bilden

Mayville State University | North Central Blood Services Region

Sonja is majoring in Fitness and Wellness and plays as an outfielder on the softball team at Mayville State University in Mayville, North Dakota. She has seen the impacts of the American Red Cross firsthand when a tornado ripped through her hometown of Northwood, North Dakota on August 26, 2007. She personally witnessed the power of a community coming together and the Red Cross services offered such as providing food and shelter. Sonja sees this program as a once-in-lifetime opportunity to help save lives through blood donation.

Sidney Bosley

Sidney Bosley

Concordia University | Southeastern Michigan Blood Services Region

Sidney attends Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan where she is pursuing a degree in Biology. She hopes to acquire a career in wildlife research after graduation. Sidney runs Track and Cross Country, where she serves as the captain of the teams. She is also involved in campus activities including the Student Athletic Success committee and the Pre-Healthcare Professionals Club. Sidney is passionate about helping others and is extremely excited to organize blood drives and encourage Concordia students to get involved in lifesaving opportunities.

Lyon College | Greater Ozarks Blood Services Region

From Bainbridge Island, Washington, Katarina (better known as Kat) was drawn to Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas. She is majoring in Biology with minors in Spanish and Psychology, and a concentration in health-related professions. She is on the Lyon College volleyball team and received honorable mention in the American Midwest Conference as a freshman. Kat has helped with blood drives in the past and is eager to continue recruiting blood donors on her campus.

Che’Ron Lewis

Langston University | Southwest Blood Services Region

Che’Ron is a member of the Langston University women’s basketball team located in Langston, Oklahoma. She is majoring in Health Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) and plans to obtain a Doctorate in Physical Therapy after graduation. Since Che’Ron has a personal connection to the need for blood, she feels it’s her duty to give back and sees this program as a unique opportunity to do that.

Alex Lunneborg

Presentation College | North Central Blood Services Region

Alex is pursuing a degree in Radiologic Technology at Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota. While studying to be a Radiologic Technologist he also plays on the baseball team. He has always enjoyed helping other people and it’s why he chose the medical field. On campus, Alex tutors other students and assists the Sports Information Director with recaps, statistics, and video editing. He has a personal tie to the power of blood donation and is excited to start recruiting donors at his school.

Jordan Mathison

Bethel College | Indiana-Ohio Blood Services Region

At Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana, Jordan is studying Exercise Science and plans to attend graduate school to become a Physical Therapist. She is also a member of Bethel’s softball team. Jordan is involved as a leader for a program known as Team Impact and is a member of the campus fitness club called B.U.F.F. She recently started to help with blood drives on campus and is hoping to make an even bigger impact through her participation in the program.

Paul (PJ) Peterson, Jr.

Valley City State University | North Central Blood Services Region

Paul (PJ) is majoring in Physical Education and Health with a minor in Coaching at Valley City State located in Valley City, North Dakota. He plays defensive end on the football team and it is his dream to coach college football one day. He is involved in numerous activities on campus including Honor Society, resident assistant, student orientation, lifeguarding and choir. PJ is ready to give the program his all and start helping with blood drives at his school.

Eric Smith

Avila University | Missouri-Illinois Blood Services Region

At Avila University in Kansas City, Missouri, Eric plays on the baseball team as an outfielder. As a Biology major and a Secondary Education minor, he plans to pursue a teaching career as well as coaching, on his way to becoming an Athletic Director. Eric is a freshmen mentor on campus and is also involved in the Knights of Columbus. His connection with the Red Cross started with his mother and extended to his grandmother when a tornado ripped through her town in Joplin, Missouri. Eric enjoys helping others and feels this program will do that through the gift of blood donation.

Randi Sturtz

Randi Sturtz

The College of Idaho | Lewis and Clark Blood Services Region

Randi is pursuing a major in Psychology, and minors in Spanish, Natural Sciences, and Leadership with an emphasis in business. She plans to go on to get her Masters in Counseling and hopes to eventually work with at-risk children and adolescence. Randi is also a member of The College of Idaho volleyball team located in Caldwell, Idaho. She has past Red Cross experience through volunteering and helping with blood drives and is looking forward to bringing that knowledge to recruiting donors on her campus.

Natassja Thomas

Indiana-Wesleyan College | Indiana-Ohio Blood Services Region

Natassja is pursuing a degree in Biology at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. While studying to be a doctor, she also plays on the volleyball team. Natassja has always been interested in the medical field due to her enjoyment in helping others whether it be attempting to diagnose her teammate’s illnesses and nurse them through the sickness, or tutoring some of the kids in her high school. Therefore, helping people in need of blood by recruiting donors is right up her alley and she is excited to embark on her blood drive journey.

Spring Arbor University | Great Lakes Region

At Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan, Kylie plays on the women’s basketball team. She is majoring in Health and Exercise Science and plans to pursue a Masters in Occupational Therapy. Kylie volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and a local assisted living community. She has helped with Red Cross blood drives on campus in the past and is excited to use that experience to increase the number of students who give blood.
