Summer flew by and it’s almost flu season again! The American Red Cross of Greater Kansas City wants to help you prepare for influenza by sponsoring nearly 100 flu shot clinics throughout the area.
On average each year in the United States, the flu results in 36,000 deaths and more than 200,000 people being hospitalized.
The best way to protect yourself from the flu is by getting a flu shot!
The flu shot is $30. Pneumonia vaccine is $55. Red Cross will bill your Medicare Part B and most major insurance plans, or you may pay with a credit card, check, or cash. A written physician’s order and parental consent is required for anyone 16 or 17 years of age. We are unable to administer the flu vaccine to children less than 16 years of age.
