“Every human being has the capacity to engage in acts of everyday heroism by doing something unselfish to elevate the lives of other people,” Ronald M. Shapiro told a reporter at the American Red Cross Hometown Heroes on Friday night.
Mr. Shapiro summed up exactly the spirit of giving that the Red Cross honors at this event each year. For those who came out to celebrate with us-- thank you. For those not able to be with us, you missed something extraordinary.
Civic leader, agent-attorney, and New York Times bestselling author Ronald M. Shapiro gave an inspiring keynote address on the everyday heroes making a difference down the street, across the country and around the world. The Red Cross was honored to present awards to five heroes including Baltimore City Fire Lieutenant Derrick L. Ready, Under Armour, Inc. Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, The Baltimore Ravens and Ronald M. Shapiro. This event would not have been possible without McCormick & Co., PNC Bank and Transamerica and their generous support.
