ADK-SAR Red Cross “March Madness” Most Successful Yet

The Adirondack-Saratoga Chapter of the American Red Cross (ADK-SAR) third annual March Madness Celebration had record success this year, raising nearly $12,000. Proceeds from the event, which was held on Friday, March 22 at Queensbury’s Johnny Rocket's, will support Red Cross programs and services.

“It was a marvelous evening with sumptuous food and drink, wonderful auction items, and fabulous company,” said Gary Ferris, Executive Director for the Adirondack-Saratoga Chapter. “I am so appreciative to our board members, staff, volunteers and guests who helped to make this year’s March Madness the most successful to date.”

Beginning at 6 p.m. and lasting until 11 p.m., attendees experienced a fun night out while supporting a great cause. The evening consisted of sumptuous buffet and cash bar with specialty drinks and live and silent auctions. Guests bid on an array of items from Yankee tickets, Six Flags passes, Southwest Airline tickets, a fantastic bundle for a golf outing at Saratoga National and much more. In keeping with the spirit of March Madness, participants gathered to watch “Sweet 16” NCAA basketball action on 22 flat panel TVs throughout the restaurant.
