American Red Cross Responds to Multi-Family Fire in Schuylkill

Make a difference in the lives of others by becoming a Red Cross volunteer with the disaster team.

(Schuylkill County, PA) February 19, 2014 – On February 18, 2014, the Red Cross Schuylkill Chapter responded to a multi-family fire on East Main Street in Schuylkill Haven. The Red Cross provided family 1 (1 adult/1 child) with food, clothing, coats and lodging and family 2 (2 adults/3 children) with lodging. The Red Cross will follow-up with the families for additional services, as needed.

For individuals and families who have been personally affected by a fire or disaster - the offer of a warm blanket, the means to purchase food and clothing, lodging, personal hygiene items like those found in a comfort kit, even a stuffed animal for a child can make all the difference for a hopeful tomorrow.
