BATTLE CREEK, Mich., July 2, 2014 —The Red Cross shelter at the American Red Cross of Branch and Calhoun Counties office at 14600 Beadle Lake Rd., Battle Creek will be closing at 5 p.m. on July 2. The Red Cross opened the shelter on Tuesday, July 1 following this week’s severe thunderstorms.
Area residents who are without running water due to the power outages are encouraged to visit the Red Cross office in Battle Creek to receive bottled water. The office will be open to distribute water from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3.
In addition, residents whose homes have been made unlivable due to storm damage are encouraged to call the Red Cross at 269-962-7528 for assistance.
