BATTLE CREEK, Mich., Monday, March 17 — As part of Red Cross Month, the American Red Cross of Branch and Calhoun Counties is offering free, life-saving Citizen CPR classes to the community. Citizen CPR is a 30-minute class that teaches people the basics of hands-only CPR.
“The class may be only half an hour, but in that time you could learn to save a life,” said Katy Lagoni, Branch Manager at the Red Cross of Branch and Calhoun Counties. “March is Red Cross Month, and we want to show our community that we are here to help them.”
The classes are being offered free of charge to the public through the beginning of April. No registration is required. The locations and dates of the classes are:
Bronson Branch Library- March 19: 12-1pm & 6-7pm
Lakeview Mall- March 22: 12-4pm
Homer Public Library- March 27: 6:30-7:30pm
Kingman Museum- March 29: 12:30-4pm & April 9: 10:30am-12:30pm
Marshall District Library- March 30: 2-3pm
Albion District Library- March 31: 6:30-7:30pm
Coldwater Branch Library- April 2: 10:30-11:30am & April 7: 6-7pm
In addition, the Red Cross will be at each class offering information about volunteering opportunities with the organization.
