Hawley, PA) February 6, 2014– The American Red Cross Wayne-Pike Chapter will be offering health and safety classes at the Wallenpaupack’s Intermediate School Cafeteria, located at 187 Atlantic Ave. in Hawley. Classes will take place during the months of March, April and May. Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
Paul Mendofik, NEPA Red Cross Training Specialist said, “We truly appreciate the Wallenpaupack School District’s initiative for their continued support of the Red Cross as well as the community at large for allowing us to deliver these health and safety classes at their facility.”
• Adult CPR-AED March 24th 6PM to 9PM
Students will learn how to perform single rescuer cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and how to appropriately use an automated External Defibrillator. ($70)
• Adult & Pediatric CPR-AED plus First Aid
April 1st and April 2nd 6PM to 9PM (both days)
Students will learn how to do CPR on all ages as a single rescuer in addition to learning basic first-aid in this 2-day course. ($110)
• Pet First Aid April 7th 5:30PM to 9PM
Students will learn how to provide immediate care to pets (cats and dogs) who have sustained an injury. ($70)
• CPR-AED for Prof. Rescuers & Healthcare Providers
May 5th and May 6th 5:30PM to 8:30 PM (both days)
Students will learn how to provide CPR care both as a single rescuer and providing care with multiple rescuers in this 2-day course. ($110)
