CONCORD, NH, December 10, 2012— The American Red Cross has successfully completed the 2012 Holiday Mail for Heroes campaign. This Nationwide project offered the opportunity for New Hampshire citizens to send active and retired United States military member’s holiday cards with a message of thanks.
Among several events held, the Manchester Monarchs and Public Service of New Hampshire teamed up during the Monarch’s November 24th home game when they encouraged fans to write a message to the troops with cards provided. Then on November 27th, The Mall of New Hampshire hosted a “Giving Tuesday” event with the American Red Cross of NH where a card signing station was available for holiday shoppers throughout the day.
“We were completely elated with the amount of community members who participated in this great campaign,” said Maria White, CEO of the New Hampshire Region. “It is a great feeling to be able to give back to those who have given so much to our country and to see the community come together as they did.”
