The workshops share potentially life-saving information on how to be ready

Most people think of summer in Colorado as a time for warm weather, vacations with family and friends, and an abundance of outdoor activities for every taste. However, Colorado summers can also bring unpredictable weather like flooding rains, tornadoes, and sometimes wildfires.

It’s never easy to predict when a natural disaster may strike. That’s why Bellco and the American Red Cross have teamed up to offer free disaster-preparedness workshops in three of Bellco's metro-area branches. Coloradans who attend will learn how to become “Red Cross Ready” for any disaster.

Taught by American Red Cross disaster-preparedness experts, the workshops share potentially life-saving information on how to be ready for any type of disaster, including flooding or wildfires. Each attendee will receive a free USB drive that includes emergency financial-preparedness information. For more information or to sign up for one of the workshops, visit

While no one wants to think about a disaster or emergency striking their community, having a plan in place, as well as the necessary supplies and documents, can help better prepare you and your family so you have more peace of mind.
