Calling for Nominations of Hometown Heroes in the Finger Lakes

This is an opportunity to celebrate our community and its people at their best. The breakfast event will be a very memorable and exciting morning, one that you won’t want to miss!

The American Red Cross, Finger Lakes NY Region, seek region wide nominations for this special event-conceived to recognize people in the community who have taken action in time of crisis to help others and consistently show an extraordinary gift for human compassion-the values and principles of the American Red Cross.

Nomination forms will be available at all American Red Cross locations in the Finger Lakes Region. A panel of community leaders will review all Heroes nominations and select heroes in up to 6 categories. Each nominee must reside in the Finger Lakes Region; however, the heroic act may have occurred elsewhere. The heroic acts must have occurred within the last year.

The day of the breakfast we will celebrate and honor each selected hero; and tell their stories through video vignettes. Corporate sponsors will present each hero with their respective award. There will also be a time for those in attendance to make a gift to the American Red Cross. The Red Cross “ask” will be made at the end of a moving and compelling well-choreographed program. All funds raised are for local use by the American Red Cross. The Master of Ceremonies will lead the event.

This is an opportunity to celebrate our community and its people at their best. The breakfast event will be a very memorable and exciting morning, one that you won’t want to miss!
