Celebrate the Heroes in our Community

From all walks of life, these people are proof that one person can make a significant impact on the well-being of others, and we hope that you can join us for this memorable event

For over a century, the Red Cross has been a community leader in emergency preparedness and response. The Heroes Breakfast honors that longstanding tradition of heroism by recognizing local individuals whose extraordinary acts make them a hero. Our heroes personify compassion, selflessness and kindness.

The 8th annual breakfast, a gathering of hundreds of community and business leaders, raises critical funds to help support Red Cross disaster response programs in central Illinois. It will be held on Friday, April 19 at the Crowne Plaza, Springfield. Doors open at 7:30am and breakfast and program will begin promptly at 8:00am.

“This year, we will be recognizing eleven individuals for their selflessness and sacrifice,” said Colleen Stone, Chief Executive Officer of the Illinois Capital Area Chapter. “From all walks of life, these people are proof that one person can make a significant impact on the well-being of others, and we hope that you can join us for this memorable event.”

Heroes honored at the event are local citizens from communities in central Illinois including Chatham, Gillespie, Shelbyville, Springfield and Taylorville.

Tickets and table sponsorships are still available by calling 217-787-7602 or online at american.redcross.org/springfieldheroes.
