All across the United States, American Red Cross volunteers make a positive impact in their communities. From assisting disaster victims and teaching community preparedness to working with millions of blood donors, volunteers donate their time and talents to carry out the organization’s humanitarian mission.
To recognize the vital work of its local volunteer workforce, the American Red Cross Corry Chapter is hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on Friday, May 17 at Corry Elks Club, 129 N. Center St. in Corry.
“Our volunteers are the passion and power behind our organization,” said Pam Masi, executive director of the local Red Cross. “We are proud to recognize their important work at our dinner event.”
Registration will begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Guest speaker Tom Atkins, meteorologist with WJET-TV, will present to the group at 7:30 p.m.
