On April 22, over a billion people across the world will participate in Earth Day. The world will come together as one, dedicated to making their community an environmentally friendly place to live.
At the American Red Cross, we are also dedicated to promoting the environment and living by the three r’s: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. These items are poisonous or contain toxic chemicals. Keeping them around the house increases the chances that your pets or small children can get into them. Additionally, throwing them out with the trash is harmful to the environment.
Celebrate Earth Day this year with the Red Cross by reducing your consumption, reusing products and recycling your hazardous waste in a manner that is safe for the environment and your family.
