Exeter Township Volunteer Headed to OK To Help Tornado Victims

Oklahoma
When you empathize in a situation, how would you feel when you lost your home, or when your loved one, you would probably be looking for someone to help you out, and that's what the Red Cross does.

Peter Warschal, a volunteer professional counselor for the Berks County Red Cross, was deployed to Oklahoma on June 1st. He is on the ground in Shawnee, Oklahoma to provide assistance and emotional support to devastated families impacted by the tornados. "When you empathize in a situation, how would you feel when you lost your home, or when your loved one, you would probably be looking for someone to help you out, and that's what the Red Cross does," said Warschal

His wife, Judy, a licensed psychologist and previous Red Cross volunteer, is proud of her husband. "I think it's great that he's volunteering to do this. I'm very proud of him for taking the time out of his gardening and his work to devote to the people of Oklahoma," she said.
