Red Cross disaster responder at site of earthquake searching for survivors
Gain the knowledge and peace of mind that is necessary to care for themselves and their loved ones when an earthquake or other disaster strikes.

SANTA ANA, Calif. – Nerves are starting to get a little jangled as people hear about the swarm of earthquakes in Imperial County and then experiencing another here in Orange County. Wildfire season is upon us. An El Niño is predicted for 2013.

This class will help people know there is something they can do now to keep themselves and their family safe when we have a disaster. That knowledge helps to keep us calm and carry on in an emergency.

The class will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Red Cross training center, located at 600 Parkcenter Drive in Santa Ana. The class is free of charge and is open to the public.

The Red Cross also offers presentations at sites out in the community.

“With these sessions, we hope people will gain the knowledge and peace of mind that is necessary to care for themselves and their loved ones when an earthquake or other disaster strikes,” said Regional CEO Stanley Perdue.
